Recycling
No more sorting, bending, or lifting—your new carts will have two wheels for easy maneuvering and a lid to keep things tidy. The extra space will make recycling easier and provide more room for storage—a true win-win—for you.

New trash and recycling carts will be delivered beginning mid-September through mid-October 2024
Your new curbside recycling and trash carts will have two wheels for easy maneuvering and a lid to keep your trash and recyclables contained. Carts will be dropped off at your home between mid-September and mid-October along with important program information.
All residential households in the city of Flint will receive one 96-gallon grey cart for trash and one 64-gallon blue cart for recycling.

Important Notes
Trash: Please place all trash into bags before placing into the gray trash cart. If you need more space, you may use your own additional cart or leave extra bagged trash next to the cart for pickup.
Recycling: All recyclable materials must be loose inside of the blue recycling cart. Please do not bag your recyclables.
