Human Resources and Labor Relations

The Human Resources and Labor Relations Department provides recruitment, selection development, and retention of city employees.

Legal Department

The Law Office provides legal counsel, training and representation for the City and its officials; prepares or reviews all legal documents and proceedings affecting the City; reviews and responds to all requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act; serves as the prosecutor on all traffic tickets and misdemeanor charges issued for violation of the City ordinances.

Planning

The Planning Division works with current land use planning, future land use planning and future zoning.

Police Department

Enhancing the safety and security of people who live, work, and visit the City of Flint and their property.

Public Works

The Public Works Department maintains the City’s above and underground infrastructure and facilities.
