Election Divison

The Election Division of the City of Flint Clerk’s Office is responsible for the registration of all voters within the City limits of Flint and notification of voting locations to electors.

The Election Division conducts elections according to State of Michigan Law. This division provides petitions for candidacy or for any issue arising under the Flint City Charter. All voter registration records and copies of laws and official documents regulating the election process are available, at a cost, to the public.

The Election Division also encourages voter participation by providing education on the mechanics of the voting process to any citizen or group requesting such help. Assistance can include a demonstration of voting devices used in the City of Flint by the City Clerk’s Office staff as well as qualified speakers who can provide education to groups and organizations upon request.
