City Attorney’s Office
Angela Wheeler was appointed to the position of Flint City Attorney in November of 2017, after serving as Interim City Attorney since January 2017. Wheeler had previously worked as Deputy City Attorney in Flint’s Legal Department for more than five years.
MISSON OF THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT:
The Law Office provides legal counsel, training and representation for the City and its officials; prepares or reviews all legal documents and proceedings affecting the City; reviews and responds to all requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act; serves as the prosecutor on all traffic tickets and misdemeanor charges issued for violation of the City ordinances.
