Flint Residents Invited to Water Crisis Community Events

Flint residents invited to meet with water quality and health experts during upcoming water crisis community events

Flint area residents are invited to join experts from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and state and county agencies at an Open House September 17 to hear the latest on the water crisis and the support services available for residents impacted by the crisis. At various exhibits, residents can explore information on different topics and have one-on-one conversations with water quality and public health experts.

Community organizations and residents are invited to a free workshop September 22 on grant opportunities, including helpful tips and best practices for organizations in writing successful grant applications. The workshop is hosted by the University of Michigan-Flint and features experts from the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services’ Office of Minority Health; the Health Resources and Services Administration; the Administration for Children and Families; the Michigan Office of Minority Health; U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
