Statements detailing the water bill credits are now being mailed to customers. It’s important to note, these are not bills, but “statements” showing how the credits were applied to customer’s accounts and what the current balance is.

Due to the amount of preparation that has gone into producing these statements, the mailing of the statements has been staggered. Flint city leaders have decided to hold public meetings at various locations around the time customers should start receiving the statements in their mailboxes.
Residents who have received their statements and have questions about the information are encouraged to attend to get clarification. The goal of the meeting is to answer any questions residents have about their credit, how it was calculated and applied to their account. Customer service representatives will be on hand, along with the City of Flint’s chief financial officer, council members and other city officials.
Additional public meetings will be held as the statements reflecting water bill credits are mailed to customers.
