Flint Police Welcomes New Class of Reserve Officers

Flint, Mich– Police Chief Timothy Johnson along with the City of Flint Police Department, and Mayor Weaver came together for the official graduation ceremony for the latest recruits to complete training in the Flint Police Reserve Officer Academy. The ceremony took place Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Flint City Hall Auditorium (“Dome”).

Chief Timothy Johnson welcomed the nine new reserve officers to the department and thanked them for their willingness to help Flint Police serve the citizens of Flint. The new reserve officers began training back in September, and excited to finally receive their badges.

This is the second graduating class of reserve officers since Chief Johnson reactivated the program in 2016. Johnson has said he felt it was important to bring the program back to provide the department with additional administrative and patrol support.
