City of Flint Crews Continuously Work to Clear Streets After Winter Weather Event, Clearing of Residential Areas Will Begin This Evening

City of Flint crews have been working throughout the night to clear the Major streets, cul-de-sacs and dead ends. As of 7am, approximately 50% of major streets and 75% of cul-de-sacs and dead ends have been cleared. The remaining 50% of major streets are passable, but crews will continue to clear them as well as residential areas throughout the evening.

 

In accordance with the City’s Snow and Ice Control plan, work to clear all residential areas within 72 hours of the weather event’s conclusion will continue. More details on clearing efforts will be shared as they become available. The Snow and Ice Control plan can be found here.
