Special Public Events Curfew Schedule for 2015 Summer Season

The City of Flint’s Special Public Events Curfew will take effect for the Fourth of July Fireworks event on Friday, July 3, 2015. The curfew will also be in effect for Back to the Bricks from Tuesday, August 11, 2015 through and including Friday, August 14, 2015

Notice is given by the Chief of Police that:

Pursuant to Section 31-7.4, Back to the Bricks and other Public Events Curfew – Minors under 17, notice is hereby given that the Special Public Events Curfew shall be in effect for the July 3, 2015 Fireworks; and, for Back to the Bricks commencing Tuesday, August 11 through and including Friday, August 14, 2015.  The provisions of the Special Public Events Curfew extends the curfew hours for minors under the age of 17 during special public events as deemed necessary by the Chief of Police to protect the health, safety and welfare of the general public.

During the Special Public Events scheduled on July 3, 2015; and, August 11 through and including August 14, 2015, it shall be unlawful for an unsupervised minor under the age of 17 to be in the designated public places specifically identified by the Chief of Police from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM each day.

For convenience purposes, a map is being provided designating the areas specific to the scheduled special public events.  Parents and guardians are encouraged to pay close attention to the geographic areas subject to the Special Public Events Curfew.

Parents and guardians are also responsible for compliance with this curfew and the regularly applicable citywide curfew.
