UPDATE: Warming Centers Open Through The Weekend as Extreme Cold Sets In

FLINT, Mich. — As continued colder temperatures are expected for our area, the City of Flint will again open its Community Centers as warming centers for all residents through the rest of the week and will also keep the centers open all weekend during their normal hours of operation. 

The Genesee County Health Department issued a warning to all residents of this week’s extremely cold temperatures along with safety guidelines, including limiting time outdoors, seeking warm shelter, and wearing cold-weather appropriate clothing. 

Anyone who is without adequate heating can come to either City of Flint operated location below during the hours listed. Bottled water and coffee will be provided at both locations.
