Traffic Alert: Beach Street between W. 4th and W. Court Streets will be closed beginning Monday, September 22  until the end of October

FLINT, Mich. – The City of Flint Traffic Engineering Department is announcing the full closure of Beach Street between W. 4th Street and W. Court Street in downtown Flint beginning today, Monday, September 22, through Friday, October 31, 2025, for ongoing electrical utility work.

The utility infrastructure work, being performed by Motor City Electric Utilities on behalf of Consumers Energy, requires a full street closure with no through traffic permitted. Commuters and business owners in the area are encouraged to plan ahead and adjust travel routes accordingly.
