FLINT, Mich. – Flint ReCAST (Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma) has opened registration for its S.T.R.O.N.G Summit taking place Friday, July 25 from 9am-3pm at New Standard Academy, located at 2040 W. Carpenter Road in Flint. Registration for the free event is open to all Genesee County residents and is ongoing, but space is limited.
S.T.R.O.N.G. stands for Supporting Togetherness, Resiliency, Opportunity, Networking, and Growth. The one day summit will feature dynamic speakers, informative breakout sessions, interactive activities, and resource tables. Flint ReCAST S.T.R.O.N.G. Summit 2025
Flint ReCAST is a five year grant program that aims to assist high-risk youth and families by supporting the recovery and rebuilding of Flint’s vibrant community through resilience and equity. The program’s goals focus on the areas of behavioral health, race & equity, youth support & development, and public safety and violence prevention.
