Community Invited to Grand Opening of The Avenue Greenspace and Playground on May 10

FLINT, MI — Families and community members are invited to celebrate the Grand Opening of The Avenue Greenspace and Playground on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place at 1318 Avenue B, between Williams and Wood.

This exciting new greenspace is designed to bring families together for fun, fitness, and community connection. Attendees can enjoy free take-home crafts and family fitness activities, plus a variety of food trucks—with meals provided free for the first 200 guests.

“We’re thrilled to open this new space that promotes health, creativity, and quality time for families,” said Mikesha Loring, Neighborhood Implementation Program Manager. “This is a celebration of neighborhood revitalization and the power of community.”

The event is supported by the City of Flint, Premier Property Management, and Communities of Hope.
