City of Flint and the DDA host ‘Food Truck Friday’ during Small Business Week

FLINT, Michigan— Flint and surrounding communities are invited to support small businesses by attending “Food Truck Friday” on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., on Brush Street in downtown Flint in front of the “FLINT” sign. This event will include different cuisines throughout the day.

“This is a great opportunity to highlight a unique small business industry in downtown Flint during a weekend that will be full of activities,” said Mayor Sheldon Neeley. “It is important that we support our local entrepreneurs and continue to build economic development in Flint.”

The Department of Economic Development planned this event in collaboration with the Downtown Development Authority as a way to engage, support, and promote local businesses in Flint as part of the “Enjoy. Shop. Love. FLINT – Support small businesses” initiative.

“Our goal is to always find ways to engage, support, and promote local businesses,” said Economic Development Director, Khalfani Stephens. “This event gives a glimpse at the vast variety of small businesses in Flint while also bringing a popular food trend to the community.”
