Temporary water service disruption planned Monday, July 20, 2020, for Kensington Avenue

FLINT, Michigan—A temporary water service disruption is planned for Monday, July 20, 2020, for Kensington Avenue from East Court Street to Calumet Street as work crews continue making much needed repairs to the city infrastructure.

The water will be shut off for additional work on the water line in the area as part of the East Court Street Rehabilitation Project. The water service for the one block portion of Kensington Avenue south of Court Street is expected to be temporarily shut off as early as 7:30 a.m. — but it could be later depending on excavation findings.

It is estimated the shut off will last for approximately 6 hours. The exact amount of time water service will be disrupted could be longer or shorter depending on findings made by the crew performing work.

Workers will wait as long as possible to shut off water and restore it to households as quickly as possible. They also are going door-to-door in the affected area to alert residents of the water disruption.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
