Temporary water service disruption planned for areas of Franklin Avenue, E. Court Street on Wednesday, July 29, 2020

FLINT, Michigan—A temporary water service disruption is planned for Wednesday, July 29, 2020 for areas of Franklin Avenue and East Court Street in the College and Cultural Neighborhood as work crews continue making much needed repairs to the city infrastructure.

The water will be shut off for additional work on the water line in the area as part of the East Court Street Rehabilitation Project. The impacted area includes:

• Franklin Avenue between East Court Street and Calumet Street
• East Court Street near Franklin Avenue

The water is expected to be shut off for the impacted areas at approximately 8 a.m. and be off for several hours. All times given are estimates the exact timing of the water service disruption change based on findings made by the crew while performing work.

Workers will wait as long as possible to shut off water and will restore it as quickly as possible. They also are going door-to-door in the affected area to alert residents of the water disruption.
