Temporary water service disruption planned for Tuesday, July 28, 2020 for areas of Windermere Avenue, Meade Street

FLINT, Michigan—A temporary water service disruption is planned for Tuesday, July 28, 2020 for areas of Windermere Avenue and Meade Street in the East Court Street area in the College and Cultural Neighborhood as work crews replace a water main valve.

The water will be shut off for additional work on the water line in the area as part of the East Court Street Rehabilitation Project. The impacted area includes:

• Windermere Avenue from Meade Street to Greenfield Avenue

• Meade Street from Windermere Avenue to East Court Street

The water is expected to be shut off for the impacted areas at approximately 10 a.m. and be off for approximately two hours. All times given are estimates the exact timing of the water service disruption change based on findings made by the crew while performing work.

Workers will wait as long as possible to shut off water and will restore it as quickly as possible. They also are going door-to-door in the affected area to alert residents of the water disruption.
