Temporary water service disruption expected in areas near Dort Highway, Atherton Road on Tuesday, April 13, 2021

FLINT, Michigan — A temporary water service disruption is expected in areas of Dort Highway and Atherton Road on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, while work is being done on a water main. Residents may experience low or no water pressure at this time.

The water service disruption is expected to last from approximately 8 a.m. to noon on Tuesday. All times are estimates. Workers will wait as long as possible to shut off water and return service as quickly as possible. Unforeseen events can impact both start and finish times. 

Residents and businesses in the area are being notified of the water service disruption. It is expected to impact areas including: 

• Both sides of Dort Highway about 600 feet north of Atherton Road 

• Atherton Road between Dort Highway and Term Street

• Stonegate subdivision area including north of Thread Creek

• Atherton Crossings

A boil water advisory is NOT expected. In the unlikely event that a boil water advisory is needed, it will be broadcast on the City of Flint’s webpage at www.CityofFlint.com, local media, and social media channels.
