Sanitary Sewer Overflow Ended

CITY OF FLINT UTILITIES DEPARTMENT WATER POLLUTION CONTROL DIVISION PRESS RELEASE

For Immediate Release

On July 17th 2022 around 1:00 p.m., the City of Flint Water Pollution Control Facility had waste product from W2 Fuel spill from a delivery truck unloading into a frac tank. It is contained on the ground around the frac tank, and there is no impact to the Flint River or the surrounding environment. The spill ended around 1:00 p.m. As a precautionary measure required by law, the State of Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy and the Genesee County Health Department have been notified.
