Precautionary Boil Filtered Water Advisory LIFTED for Buildings in Downtown Flint

(February 9, 2018) Flint, Mich. – The City of Flint Director of Public Works, Rob Bincsik, reported Friday that crews have completed repairs on a water main break that triggered a Precautionary Boil Filtered Water Advisory earlier this week for some water customers in downtown Flint.

“The break has been fixed and we have received satisfactory results from samples collected showing the water is now safe to use without boiling first,” said Bincsik.

The affected area was on Second Street between Saginaw and Harrison. The Flint utility customers affected were the Ferris Wheel Building and the Dryden Building on Saginaw Street. Again, the situation has been resolved and the Precautionary Boil Filtered Water Advisory has been lifted.
