Mayor Weaver Issues Statement on Governor Whitmer’s Great Lakes Water Authority Board Appointment

FLINT, MI (08/28/19) — Governor Gretchen Whitmer today appointed Mott Community College President, Dr. Beverly Walker-Griffea to the Great Lakes Water Authority Board of Directors. Mayor Weaver released the following statement:

“I would like to thank Governor Whitmer for appointing Dr. Walker-Griffea to the Great Lakes Water Authority Board of Directors, her decision today has helped us fulfill the promise we made to have representation at the GLWA table.

Dr. Walker-Griffea is an excellent choice, she has served the Flint community tirelessly since becoming the President of Mott Community College. I have confidence that the residents will be well represented and that our voices will be heard.”
