Mayor Neeley to gather resident input into the City’s funding priorities for $99 million federal grant

FLINT, Michigan—Mayor Sheldon Neeley will host a community update at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2021, as part of his ongoing efforts to gather resident input into the City’s funding priorities. This community update will focus on the $99 million in federal funding the City of Flint expects to receive through the American Rescue Plan Act. 

The community update will be broadcast at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2021, on the City of Flint Facebook page and YouTube channel. Following the event, it will be shared on the City of Flint website.

“We will continue to make sure that resident voices are heard. We value community input as the foundation of what we do every day,” Mayor Neeley said.

The update will include detailed information on how residents can submit their ideas to be considered as part of the planning process for the American Rescue Plan funding.

Mayor Neeley will be joined during the presentation by Shelbi Frayer, the City of Flint’s newly appointed Chief Financial Officer.
