S.T.R.O.N.G. stands for Supporting Togetherness, Resiliency, Opportunity, Networking, and Growth. This year’s summit is designed to build a shared foundation of understanding, trust, and practical skill-building for both youth and the adults who support them. Through two targeted workshops, participants will explore mental wellness from both perspectives—strengthening communication, reducing stigma, and fostering healthier, more supportive environments for young people.

In addition to the workshops, the Family Fun Day will serve as a closing celebration for youth, their trusted adults, and families. The event will feature a petting zoo, pony rides, carnival-style games, food trucks, and complimentary family photos.

Flint ReCAST is a five-year grant program that supports high-risk youth and families by promoting recovery and rebuilding Flint’s community through resilience and equity. Program priorities include behavioral health, race and equity, youth development, public safety, and violence prevention.

This marks the final year the City of Flint and ReCAST will host the S.T.R.O.N.G. Summit together. For more information, call 810-232-2228 or email [email protected].
