Estate Planning Fair at Mays Senior & Community Center

Free community event will connect residents with estate planning information and resources to help protect their families, property, and financial futures
Residents are invited to attend an Estate Planning Fair on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 11 am to 2 pm at the Mays Senior & Community Center.
The free community event is designed to help Flint residents better understand the importance of planning for the future and connect them with information and resources that can help protect their families, property, and assets.
Attorney Trachelle Young will lead an informative presentation covering key areas of estate planning and helping residents understand the steps they can take to ensure their wishes are documented and their loved ones are prepared.
“Estate planning is about more than preparing documents; it is about protecting what you have worked for and making sure your family has a clear path forward,” said Mayor Sheldon A. Neeley. “We want Flint residents to have access to trusted information and resources that empower them to make informed decisions for themselves and future generations.”
In addition to the estate planning presentation, residents will have an opportunity to connect with organizations and professionals offering information and resources related to:
- Property taxes
- Funeral and final-arrangement planning
- Life insurance
- Tax resources and assistance
- Health insurance
- Estate planning and protecting family assets
The Estate Planning Fair is part of the City of Flint’s continued commitment to connecting residents with resources that support financial stability, informed decision-making, and long-term family and community well-being.
