City of Flint Youth Summer Curfew

Children 12 years old and younger
- Must be off public streets, parks, and public places by 10:00 p.m.
- Curfew ends at 6:00 a.m.
- Exception: If accompanied by a parent, guardian, or designated adult.
Youth 13–14 years old
- Must be off public streets, parks, and public places by 11:00 p.m.
- Curfew ends at 6:00 a.m.
- Exception: If accompanied by a parent, guardian, or designated adult.
Youth 15–16 years old (under 17)
- Must be off public streets, parks, and public places by 12:00 midnight
- Curfew ends at 6:00 a.m.
- Exception: If accompanied by a parent, guardian, designated adult (21+), or on a legitimate errand directed by a parent/guardian.
Special Event Curfew
During certain events such as fireworks displays, Back to the Bricks, or other large public gatherings, the Flint Police Chief may activate a Special Public Events Curfew:
- Applies to youth under 17 years old
- Curfew hours become 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Applies only within designated event areas announced by the Flint Police Department.
