FLINT, MI — Monday morning at 10:00 a.m., the City of Flint held a press conference at the site of a long-blighted former church located at the corner of Hamilton and Saginaw streets to announce the start of demolition on the deteriorating structure.
The removal of this long-standing eyesore marks a continued commitment by the Neeley administration to address blight, improve neighborhood safety, and revitalize key corridors throughout the city.
“This demolition represents progress and partnership,” said Mayor Sheldon Neeley. “We’re eliminating hazards, restoring pride, and opening the door to future development for our residents.”
City officials and community partners will be on site to discuss how this effort fits into Flint’s broader blight elimination strategy.
