City of Flint and the DDA host ‘Food Truck Sundays’ through October 31, 2021

FLINT, Michigan — Flint and surrounding communities are invited to support small businesses by attending “Food Truck Sundays”, every Sunday until Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 3 to 6 p.m., in the DDA parking lot in downtown Flint on the corner of Saginaw and Kearsley Streets.

Food Truck Sundays are in response to the success of the City of Flint’s first ‘Food Truck Friday’ event that was on Friday, September 17. These are outdoor, weather permitting events for the entire family with kid-friendly activities and music by DJ Paradise.

“We want to continue to find ways to connect our small business owners with the Flint community in an effort to support and promote economic growth through engaging events,” said Mayor Sheldon Neeley. “We have some amazing entrepreneurs in the food truck industry right here in Flint.”

The Department of Economic Development planned this event in collaboration with the Downtown Development Authority as a way to engage, support, and promote local businesses in Flint as part of the “Enjoy. Shop. Love. FLINT – Support small businesses” initiative.
