Flint Hosting Teen Resource Fair to Help Youth Prepare for the Future

The City of Flint invites residents to attend the upcoming Teen Resource Fair on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the McKinley Center, located at 249 Peer Ave., Flint, MI 48503.

Designed to help young people prepare for the next phase of life, the event will connect youth and families with essential services, educational resources, health information, financial tools, and opportunities for personal growth and success.

Several agencies and community partners will be on-site providing free resources and services, including:

• Michigan Secretary of State issuing State IDs
• Genesee County Records issuing birth certificates
• Financial Plus Credit Union opening bank accounts
• Office of Public Health providing health and wellness resources
• Additional vendors offering education, employment, mentorship, and community support services

The event is open to all ages, with a special focus on teens and young adults preparing for adulthood, employment, higher education, and independence.

“Young people deserve access to the tools and resources that help them build a successful future,” said Mayor Sheldon A. Neeley. “This resource fair is about empowering youth, removing barriers, and connecting families with opportunities that can positively impact their lives.”

The City encourages students, parents, guardians, and community members to attend and take advantage of the valuable resources available during this one-day event.
