The Utilities Department is responsible for the supply and maintenance of all water and sewer services within the City of Flint.
Water Distribution and Sewer Maintenance
Operated from the Water Service Center, the Water Distribution and Sewer Maintenance Divisions convey water to your house and remove the sewage to the Water Pollution Control Facility. We repair the water, sanitary and storm sewer lines throughout the City of Flint. There are approximately 600 miles of sanitary sewers, 350 miles of storm sewers, and 600 miles of water mains in the City of Flint.
