3rd Annual Stop the Silence 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament Returns

For those between the ages of 7 and 24 who are interested basketball, there will be a free 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament coming in 2 weeks to Downtown Flint. The 3rd Annual Stop the Silence 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will be held on Saturday, June 27 at 8am at the DDA flat lot. Registration is open to ages 7-24 and the registration form is attached to this post. You can register as a team or as an individual and you will be placed on a team.

All players will receive a free t-shirt. Bracket winners will receive a medal and a team ball of NBA quality with custom Stop the Silence design. Those interested are encouraged to register now! Forms can be dropped off at the Flint Police Department, the Michigan State Police Flint Post, the Police Activities League (PAL) office inside Haskell Center or ELGA Credit Unions.

Stop the Silence is a collaborative effort between the community, law enforcement and area businesses to promote good relations between youth and law enforcement. The goal is to promote positive interactions and encourage youth to feel comfortable talking to police and other adults about the things they see, hear and experience in their community to promote safety.

Forms for the tournament can be found below. Registration will be done at the locations above until the day before the event and will be taken the day of at the event.
