1214 W University Ground Breaking

The 1214 W University ground breaking is on April 25 at 10 am

The City has partnered with Habitat for Humanity and provided HOME funds towards the completion of the ‘Live’ portion of this live-work duplex.  The housing units will be sold to entrepreneurs and the project offers buyers the ability to live above their work space. This unique housing opportunity will set buyers up for a more solid financial future.
Located in the University Avenue area, the property is in walkable area of increased development in the city, and near bus routes and Atwood Stadium.  This will help attract patrons to the ‘Work’ portion of the development. Additionally, smaller grants received are helping to build attractive environmental aspects and outdoor seating areas adjacent to the development. This will encourage neighbors and visitors to interact in a safe and enjoyable way with not only the businesses and the owners, but the neighborhood surrounding it!
Please join the City of Flint, Genesee County Habitat for Humanity, and Kettering University at the groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday April 25 at 10:00 am at 1214 University Ave.  RSVP to development@geneseehabitat.org
