Special Flint City Council Electronic Public Meeting on Gun Violence Declaration & Town Hall Meetings

FLINT, Michigan–As allowed in the Flint City Charter, Mayor Sheldon Neeley has called a special meeting of the Flint City Council for 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021, to take place electronically.

Section 3-202 of the Flint City Charter states: The Mayor or any two (2) members of the City Council may call a special meeting of the City Council upon twenty-four (24) hours notice to each City Council member and the public stating the purpose of the meeting.

The meeting is being held for the following purpose:

  • Discussion of the Gun Violence Declaration; and
  • Schedule of Town Hall meetings for community input on spending American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)

The special meeting notice was posted at 3:45 p.m. on July 27, 2021.
