City of Flint 2019 Election Dates

August 6, 2019 — Mayoral Primary Election

In accordance with the new Flint City Charter, Sec. 9-102 Election for Mayor and City Council Members

A. The first primary and general election for mayor shall be in 2019 at the time set by statute for city primaries and general elections in the odd numbered year.
And, the first term for Mayor shall be for three years. Subsequent terms shall be for four years, and elections commencing in 2022 shall be with the gubernatorial election.
