A separate truck collects yard waste on the same day of your regularly
scheduled solid waste collection day.
Please place compost materials at the curb---10 ft. apart from regular
waste---no later than 7:00 a.m. on the day of collection.
APPROVED CONTAINERS:
Brown paper lawn and leaf bags or an approved container not weighing
over 50 lbs.
Note: Due to the weight of compost (grass), please remember the
weight limit of 50 lbs. per bag or can.

BRUSH:
Brush (up to two inch diameter) can be bundled and tied in 4-ft. long,
15-inch diameter bundles and set
out with your yard waste cans or bags.
YARD WASTE IMPROPERLY PACKAGED OR MIXED WITH
OTHER MATERIALS:

Yard waste placed in improper containers or
mixed with other materials WILL NOT BE COLLECTED.

A violation notice may be issued advising the
owner or occupant to remove the yard waste from the
curb and separate it for the following week’s collection.

If the yard waste is not removed from the curb,
residents will be assessed charges to have debris
removed.

Hazardous waste will not be collected. Dates for
disposal of these materials will be scheduled by Genesee County.
