Flint, Michigan – February 5, 2014 – The City of Flint plans to be working on a 24 hour operation to ensure that all city streets are being addressed. All available resources and personnel equipped to deal with the snow covered streets are being utilized. City officials have acknowledged all calls regarding snow issues on residential roads and have committed all available resources to clearing every street within the City of Flint.|
The City of Flint has recently asked MDOT for help in addressing the ever growing snow accumulation on streets. MDOT, through the Genesee County Road Commission, has committed resources to helping Flint clear trunk line roads such as M-54 and M-21. After major and secondary streets, the priority of City resources will be on clearing all of Flint’s neighborhoods.
“We are utilizing every available resource in order to get the snow removed from the streets,” said Flint Public Works Director Howard Croft. All residents are asked to remove parked cars from the street in order to allow plow trucks uninterrupted access.
