|FLINT LIFELINES TO HOST TOWN HALL MEETING ON PUBLIC SAFETY|
Flint, Michigan — August 14, 2012— Today the Flint Lifelines implementation team will host a town hall meeting on public safety. The meeting will be held at the Kennedy Activity Center, next to Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 1610W. Pierson at 6:00 p.m.|
During this forum the Flint Lifelines team will update the community on the status of the public safety movement and also share information about the important next steps of the process.
The community will also hear from representatives from the Michigan State Police and the U.S. Attorney’s Office regarding the commitments these respective organizations have made to aid the Flint Police Department in the fight against crime.
Flint Lifelines is led by The City of Flint Mayor’s Office, City Council, Police Department & Human Relations Commission in partnership with local, state, & federal officials. They are joined by local groups such as Flint Area Congregations Together, Flint Community Schools, Resource Genesee/One-Stop Housing Resource Center, Mott Community College Workforce Development, Community Resolution Center, University of Michigan-Flint, Department of Human Services, Metro Community Development, Genesee County Community Mental Health, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint, other health & human service providers, business leaders & community members.
