There will be a Health & Safety Mini-Grant Program Kickoff Meeting to introduce a new effort to increase community-based safety initiatives that have a positive impact on community health. The kickoff event will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 5:30 p.m. Ė 6:30 p.m. at the Sarvis Center.
The event will be hosted by the City of Flint and the Greater Flint Health Coalition, who have invited neighborhood groups, block clubs, local associations, civic groups, non-profit organizations, and other interested parties who will be provided information regarding the mini-grant program and its support of activities that will improve safety within the community.
Speakers will include Dayne Walling, Mayor, City of Flint, Bryant Nolden, City Councilman, 3rd Ward, Tanya Meeks, Flint Police Officer and Blue Badge Coordinator, and Kirk Smith, President and CEO of the Greater Flint Health Coalition.
