The residents of the 4th Ward
envision a clean and stable community without blight where
Delphi is utilized as an industrial park; the Flint River trail
is refurbished; and Kearsley, Whaley, and Rolllingwood Parks are
maintained. The 4th Ward is where
small businesses flourish; residents walk the streets safely;
and flowers abound. |

 |
The
majority of the residents in the 4th ward cited the former
Delphi East Manufacturing location as both an asset and
opportunity in their community. They would like to see it
redeveloped for a new business, park, or race track; |
 |
Brown Funeral Home was another location they thought was an
asset and opportunity in their ward. A conference center, bingo
hall, and police mini-station were all mentioned as possible
redevelopment opportunities for the building; |
 |
Residents of the 4th ward listed "great neighbors" as an asset
in their community; |
 |
Washington Elementary school was discussed as a positive place
for children to play and have recreation; |
 |
Residents were happy to have a police mini-station in their
community to help reduce crime and as additional support for the
community; |
 |
Residents mentioned more affordable housing, sidewalk repair,
and the development of community gardens from vacant lots as
excellent opportunities for improvement in their community.
