Flint/Genesee Hate Crime Response
Task Force

The HRC established the Hate Crime Task Force in response to the 1993 Enhancement Ordinance regarding hate crimes.

The goals of the Task Force:

  • Raise awareness

  • Offer support to victims

  • Restore a sense of community when acts of violence have occurred

  • Participate in community activities that promote harmony

  • Counteract any acts of hate and violence

  • Encourage organizations to engage speakers from the Task Force
