The City of Flint is warning residents of a new scam that promises the Federal Government will pay their utility bills. Perpetrators of the scam have been active in a dozen or so states and have contacted potential victims via telephone, email and even door-to-door. Read full warning



The Customer Service Center division of the Finance Department of the City of Flint is responsible for the billing and collection of property taxes, city income tax, water and sewer bills, and all other city bills. 

 This includes the reconciliation, investing and reporting of all monies received. This requires extensive knowledge of state laws, local ordinances, generally accepted accounting principles, generally accepted auditing standards, as well as the evaluation and implementation of the best available computer software and hardware.

Our mission is to provide optimum customer service in the above areas in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, within approved budgets.

their hours of operation on June 11, 2012. The new hours of operation are:
M 8:00am- 5:00pm
T 8:00am- 5:00pm
W 8:00am- 12:00pm
Th 8:00am-12:00pm
F 8:00am - 5:00pm
