PAYROLL DEPARTMENT

The Finance Department payroll unit is responsible for preparation of all payroll checks for the City workforce and active retirees and the filing of all required payroll tax returns and reports.

City employees are paid biweekly and the payroll is processed using the PeopleSoft payroll software that is part of the citywide financial software package. This program is also responsible for providing employees with accurate payroll information, including new employee enrollment, assisting departments in complying with city, state and federal payroll regulations, auditing time-keeping records for accuracy and control.
