Department of
Finance
and Administrative Services
The Department of Finance is composed of 5 divisions:
The Department is responsible for the
collection of revenues, including but not limited to, real property
taxes, personal property taxes, license and permit fees, penal fines,
and fees for services. Revenues that are collected are disbursed by
various departments as appropriated by City Council during the yearly
budget process. The preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial
Report (CAFR) is headed by this department.
Finance
The Director of Finance, being the chief
financial officer is charged with the responsibility of protecting and
safeguarding the assets of the City
Treasury
The Treasury Division is responsible for
the collection of revenues, including real property taxes, personal
property taxes, license and permit fees and other fees for services.
Assessment
The Assessment Division is responsible for
maintaining the property records of the City. This includes establishing
and maintaining assessed values of real and personal property.
Accounts Payable
Seeks to ensure the timely disbursement of
payments to vendors, contractors and others in compliance with
established and contractual terms.
Payroll
The Finance Department payroll unit is
responsible for preparation of all payroll checks for the City workforce
and the filing of all required payroll tax returns and reports. |
