Long Range Transportation Plan Survey
- Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission would like
your input on transportation needs by filling out and mailing
the attached survey: Transportation Plan
Survey. Survey is due by July 18, 2008.
Participants will be eligible for drawing of $100 gas cards or
MTA bus passes.

FLINT 4th of July Festival
- July 4, 2008 -
Atwood Stadium
- 4pm to 11pm - This is a time for the
Greater Flint Community to come together to celebrate our
heritage of freedom and independence. This celebration of the
birth of our nation includes activities for the whole family.
Great food, live music, arts & crafts, games and more fun than
you can pack into a single day This year's celebration will be
topped off with the finest display of fireworks ever presented
in Genesee County!

The Cup - Skateboard Competition
Saturday July 12, Flint Skatepark. The biggest purse in
Michigan Skateboarding for a contest at the new Flint Skate
park. Saturday July 12th, there will be over $3000 in cash
prizes, as
well as many other prizes awaiting the winners.- contest starts
at noon - registration 10am.

2008 Buick Club of America National Meet
- Buicktown Chapter of the Buick Club of America
July 16-July 19, 2008. The event will take place at the Flint Cultural
Center, home of the Sloan Museum and Buick Gallery and Research
Center, which is the same location as the 2003 Buick Centennial
Celebration. The swap meet, car show and concerts are open to
the public, free of charge to visit. To show a car or
participate in the swap meet or other venues you must register
for the event. The registration is $30 and includes access to
the hospitality tent, and commemorative license plate and other
goodies.

Home Picnic Kearsley Park July 13, 2008 1pm until 6pm
"Welcome Home Picnic" a reunion for all GM workers and their
families during the GM 100th Birthday Celebration Week. This
event is free.
