The Traffic and Road Operations Division is responsible
for providing our community with clean and safe travel conditions in the
City’s public right-of-way.
These services include snow removal, traffic control and pavement
maintenance. Our goal is to manage these services in a timely and
efficient manner for the benefit of the City.
The Division is committed to ensuring safe travel by promptly responding
to road emergencies and providing safe, passable streets during weather
emergencies. The Division is also charged with a variety of maintenance
Management Council Road Survey -
Beginning in 2003, GLS Region V staff along with
representatives of the Genesee County Road Commission (GCRC) and
the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) assessed the
condition of Genesee County federal aid eligible roads using the
PASER road rating system as requested by the State of Michigan
Asset Management Council.
