Transportation

Function  Administrative Accounting monitors, tracks, and reports funds received and expended by the department. The division processes Metro Act applications to grant or deny access to the City’s right-of-way. The division reviews and processes requisitions, contracts and purchase orders for accounting purposes. Supervises and supports the administrative staff of the various Transportation divisions.

Department Highlights 

• Complied with State and Federal reporting deadlines

• Timely filed Act 51 Report with the Michigan Department of Transportation

• Coordinated activities necessary to complete the audit of the City’s infrastructure

• Increased collection of revenue by improving procedures used to issue and track permits

• Assisted with activities to establish the Supplemental Road Program
