Risk Management
The Risk Management & Benefits
Administration Division is charged with the responsibility to identify
and analyze exposures to the City; and to take actions to prevent,
reduce, retain or transfer levels of risk. This is accomplished through
a combination of commercial insurance, self-insurance, contract review
and loss prevention to name a few.
In addition, this division is responsible for the cost-effective
delivery of the City's Employee and Retiree benefit programs including
health, life, retirement and workers compensation programs. The Division
serves the residency by processing damage claims made against the City.
The Risk Management & Benefits Administration Division is responsible
for the following functions:

Administration of
the Employee/Retiree health, dental, vision 8c life insurance
programs.

Administration of
the City's property/casualty insurance program.

Compliance with all
MIOSHA safety requirements.

Administration of
the City's Security/Fraud prevention and investigation program.

Administration of
the Retirement System.
-
Pre employment
physicals, respirator fit testing and various vaccinations.

Damage Claim
processing.
-
Property Damage
recovery
