FERS TO MERS TRANSITION

On July 19, 2012 the Board of Trustees of the City of Flint Employees Retirement System (FERS) voted to transfer FERS to the Municipal Employees Retirement System (MERS). 

It is our desire to keep you informed as to the progress of the transition.  The documents below explain the reasons for this transition in greater detail and will document the many steps involved in the transition process.  We will keep you informed of our progress.
