Flint Police Youth Crime
Reduction Resources

  1. Flint Police Department “Bigs in Blue” – This is a partnership with the Flint Police Department and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Flint. This program focuses on youth ages 6 – 14. In the program, children
experience one-on-one mentoring with Flint Police officers. The youth are children that are on a waiting list to be partnered with a permanent big brother or big sister. Officers donate their time to take the
children on field trips and activities throughout the year. This exposes the children to positive law enforcement role models within their community.
