Flint Mayor Dayne Walling To Bowl In The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Flint Bowling Challenge 2010|
Flint, Michigan – February 15, 2010 – Flint Mayor Dayne Walling and five members of his administrative staff will participate in this year’s Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Greater Flint Bowling Challenge. The team known as “Mayor Walling’s Strikers” will bowl Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at Galaxy Bowling Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Mayor Walling’s Strikers team includes: Dayne Walling, Mayor; Maxine Murray, Executive Assistant to the Mayor; David Solis, Director of Governmental Affairs; Patrick Gerace, Director of Parks and Recreation; Steve Montle, Green Cities Coordinator; and Dawn Jones, Communications Director. “For 65 years the Big Brothers Big Sisters program has provided exemplary mentoring and service to children of Flint and Genesee County. The bowling challenge provides a fun opportunity for the community to come together and support this great organization as they continue their important work in our community in the 21st century,” said Dayne Walling, Flint Mayor. “I challenge other elected officials to form a team and be a part of this great event to help support BBBS of Greater Flint.”
“The support of Mayor Walling and other community and elected officials indicates their understanding of the need for area non-profits to secure adequate funding for program services.
