| VETERANS DAY CEREMONY |
|
Wednesday, November 11, 2009 is Veterans Day. It is the day when we pause to recognize the contributions and sacrifices of the men and women of the US Armed Services. This year on Veterans Day we will have a Flag ceremony on the lawn of city hall; replacing the tattered and worn flags atop the three flagpoles on the lawn. The flags will be lowered and removed and new ones will be attached and raised. The ceremony will be conducted by Commander Michael Robinson and the NJROTC unit from Flint Northwestern High School. The unit will remove and replace the US Flag, State of Michigan Flag, and the City of Flint Flag. I am inviting you to join me on the lawn Wednesday, November 11 at 8:30 a.m. for the ceremony. Together we are moving Flint forward. Our Flint: Strong and Proud ************************************** Dayne Walling Mayor, City of Flint City Hall, 1101 S.
